Cheryl Sanclemente, 2019 Emerging Leader Honoree

 

Cheryl Sanclemente Cheryl Sanclemente is the Senior Director of Corporate Communications at Salesforce with over a decade of experience in corporate PR and executive communications. During her time at Salesforce, she has led the communications strategy for the company’s corporate social responsibility, equality, real estate, financial results, employee success and sustainability initiatives.

In a time when tech in Silicon Valley is navigating choppy waters, Cheryl has successfully communicated Salesforce’s strong corporate citizenship, expanded global presence and celebrated the company as a force for good.

Cheryl’s direction in elevating Salesforce’s equality and employee success narrative has been instrumental for the company and industry at large. Cheryl navigated her team through successful strategies to communicate Salesforce’s efforts in equal pay with coverage in outlets including 60 Minutes, Forbes, Washington Post, TechCrunch, CNN and CNBC.

Cheryl also constructed the storytelling engine behind Salesforce’s real estate strategy, demonstrating how workspaces are expressions of the company’s culture and values. She has led press conferences for all Salesforce Towers worldwide, including the iconic Salesforce Tower in San Francisco.

Her work in real estate and culture PR has resulted in media wins including two front-page stories in the San Francisco Chronicle, featured in The New York Times, Fortune, CNBC, Geekwire, and Wired and expansion into millennial-focused channels Cheddar and The Ringer.

Prior to Salesforce, Cheryl worked in the financial industry in communication leadership positions at Franklin Templeton Investments, W. P. Carey Inc. and First Eagle Investment Management.

Cheryl earned her B.A. in Mass Communications and Philosophy from the University of South Florida.

In her spare time, Cheryl volunteers with the Princess Project, a non-profit organization that provides free prom dresses to high school teens in need. She is passionate about mentoring young professionals and nurturing talent on her own team. Her leadership earned her a spot at Fortune Most Powerful Women Next Gen Summit in 2018.

Cheryl lives in San Francisco with her husband Josh and is the proud mom of a two-year old son, Mateo and rescue yorkie mix, Brodey.
