In his role, he is responsible for leadership development, learning solutions and training, workplace experience, DEI strategy and programming, change management, and internal people communications at Cision.<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-medium-font-size\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Before joining Cision, Tateoka was a Senior Vice President of Learning &amp; Development at Edelman where he drove the U.S. L&amp;D strategy, coached employees, developed and facilitated training for employees, managers, and leaders, and worked closely with business leaders as well as the global People team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">During his 11 years with Edelman, Tateoka started as a client lead on the B2B Corporate Technology team and made a shift to the People (HR) team, first in talent acquisition and then as a People Partner before joining the Learning &amp; Development Team. Additionally, for three years, he served as the Edelman Chicago office Citizenship Network Lead and was responsible for the offices\u2019 pro bono strategy, partner selection and program execution, volunteerism projects, and sustainability initiatives. In 2023, Tateoka was named the global co-chair for Edelman\u2019s new Employee Network Group focused on Disability, Chronic Illness, and Neurodivergence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Previously, Tateoka spent more than 12 years as a strategic client counselor at Edelman, Burson-Marsteller, and Ruder Finn, developing and executing communication programs for B2B technology clients including Amazon Web Services, Arity (Allstate), Braintree, CA Technologies, HP 3D Printers, HP Enterprise, and PayPal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Tateoka is an adjunct professor at DePaul University\u2019s College of Communications (since January 2016) and served as a member of the College\u2019s Dean\u2019s Advisory Council (DAC) from 2019 \u2013 2022 where he co-founded the DAC\u2019s Young Advisory Board. He also served as the professional advisor for DePaul University\u2019s PRSSA chapter from 2010 \u2013 2016.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Tateoka served two terms as a Board of Director for Chicago\u2019s Public Relations Society of America chapter. In 2020, Tateoka was nominated and elected to join the Accrediting Committee for the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism &amp; Mass Communications (ACEJMC) and will serve through 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Tateoka is an advocate for the Little People of America (LPA) and joined the organization when his eldest son was diagnosed with dwarfism in 2015 (at age 3).
