Sonny Franks Miller
Sonny Franks Miller leads communications and public affairs strategy for key projects as sr. manager, corporate communications at Clarios, the world leader in automotive energy. In her time at Clarios, Sonny has also led digital storytelling and global internal and executive communications.
Sonny began her career at Midwest retailer Meijer, where she cut her teeth on traditional media relations work, securing local and national media placements on everything from the critical role Meijer played in COVID-19 vaccine distribution to the hottest trends in canine Halloween costumes.
In 2026, Ragan Communications named Sonny a Top Women in Communications Rising Star. Committed to advancing the future of the profession and honoring the support that shaped her early career, Sonny is a mentor to many young public relations professionals who inspire her every day. Sonny also served The Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations as a member and chair of the Emerging Leaders Committee (2022-5) and is a proud alumna of The University of Alabama, where she earned her business and communications degrees.
