Kate Hartman

Kate Hartman Rosenzweig is chief external affairs officer for the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC), where she leads public relations, media relations, international engagement, and government affairs—galvanizing national support and global enthusiasm for Team USA.

As the strategic architect of the USOPC’s voice and global presence, Kate shapes storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and relationships with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), International Paralympic Committee (IPC), and U.S. Congress. Her leadership has redefined the organization’s narrative around transparency, progress, and the unifying power of sport—positioning the USOPC as a force for influence ahead of Los Angeles 2028 and Salt Lake City 2034.

Kate has led communications strategies that frame the Olympic and Paralympic movements as national legacies, generating billions of earned media impressions and extending Team USA’s reach to new and diverse audiences. She remains a trusted advisor across the Olympic and Paralympic ecosystem, fostering alignment among athletes, national governing bodies and international partners.

Under her leadership, the USOPC has secured the Salt Lake City 2034 Winter Games and supported the global ascension of U.S. leaders like Gene Sykes, Alyson Felix and Sarah Hirshland. She also spearheaded breakthrough fan engagement and media platforms—including the record-setting Team USA House at Paris 2024 and the revitalized Media Summit in New York—both designed to elevate athlete voices and cultural relevance.

A passionate advocate for inclusion, Kate created the Paralympic Educational Roadshow, a first-of-its-kind campaign to raise awareness of the Paralympic Movement through education and storytelling. The Roadshow highlights the impact of disability representation and brings Paralympian stories to communities nationwide, building a more inclusive world through sport.

Before joining the USOPC, Kate was vice president of strategic communications for North America at The Coca-Cola Company, where she led brand and business communications, executive engagement and crisis response for its largest global market.

A champion of mentorship and people-first leadership, Kate is deeply committed to developing talent and creating pathways for women—especially working mothers—to thrive. As a team builder and working mom herself, she fosters a culture of empathy, flexibility and empowerment.
