Andrew Cook is an account manager at Porter Novelli in New York. He supports work on various accounts, providing day-to-day account support, media relations expertise, and strategic insight.
Andrew’s experience spans multiple industries for nonprofit, corporate and social impact clients, including food and beverage, travel/tourism, global health, philanthropy, financial services and health care.
Before joining Porter Novelli, Andrew worked for Weber Shandwick as a member of its Social Impact practice, working with philanthropic and nonprofit clients, including the Amgen Foundation, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Transamerica Institute, and the University of Washington Medicine, among others, while providing social impact expertise to corporate clients such as Airbnb, Amazon, Nestle, and Royal Caribbean.
Andrew also brings previous experience from Edelman, where he worked as a member of the Corporate practice, specializing in employee and internal communications with clients including United, Hilton, PayPal, Astellas, and Takeda.
Andrew is passionate about applying strategic communications to accelerate social change and previously worked with the United Nations Foundation and Brigham Young University’s Ballard Center for Economic Self-Reliance. He is pursuing a Master’s in Public Interest Communications from the University of Florida.
Andrew is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America and served as the 2017-18 Public Relations Student Society of America’s National President.
