Plank Center Welcomes Four New Advisors

The board of advisers for The Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations has elected four professionals to join their ranks, bringing the group to 28.

The newly elected advisors are:

  • Tony Cervone, senior vice president, Global Communications and Chairman GM Foundation, General Motors
  • John Deveney, founder and president, DEVENEY
  • Leslie Sutton, vice president, Corporate Communications, Discover
  • Flavia Vigio, vice president, Public Relations and Communications, HBO Latin America

“We are thrilled to have these dynamic public relations professionals join the board,” said Dr. Karla Gower, director of The Plank Center. “All have impressive leadership abilities that complement those of the leading academics and professionals in public relations serving on the board.”

With the board additions, The Center will continue to further its mission of helping develop leadership skills through a variety of programs and initiatives among public relations practitioners, educators and students.
