From on-air reporting to behind-the-scenes consulting, Danny brings a wide range of media experience to Rubin Communications as Vice President.

At Rubin Communications, Danny provides clients with keen insight on web content strategies, social media, blogging and video production as well as how to reach the Millennial market. He also maintains a blog, News To Live By™, which shows young adults the career and leadership lessons ‘hidden’ in the day’s top stories. His columns appear regularly in The Huffington Post and Business Insider.

Danny began his career as a reporter/videographer for WTKR NewsChannel 3 in Norfolk and then headed north to the nation’s capital. For three years, he was the Washington, DC field director for Frank N. Magid Associates, one of the nation’s leading media consulting firms.

At Magid, Danny worked on content and audience strategies for a host of media and corporate clients including Gannett, CBS Radio, United Healthcare, Verizon, MSNBC and NBC News. He also provided weekly research for NBC’s ‘Meet the Press.’

Danny graduated from the University of Virginia and earned a masters in broadcast journalism from the University of Maryland.

Danny is a native of Virginia Beach and thrilled to be back in his hometown. He has already lent his time to several non-profits and community organizations: Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia, Lead Hampton Roads, the Virginia Festival of Jewish Film and the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater.
