Roberto I. Jimenez is senior vice president of corporate affairs at Cox Enterprises, a leading communications, media and automotive services company. Jimenez serves as the communications counsel to members of the executive team and leads the management of the company’s brand, reputation and strategic communications across Cox Enterprises.

He is responsible for leading internal and external communications; digital communications; public affairs; issues management and crisis preparedness; creative studio; as well as corporate social responsibility and corporate giving. He also oversees the company’s meeting and event management services, audio/visual production and corporate travel teams serving as an enterprise-wide resource for the company’s 60,000 employees.

Prior to joining Cox in 2003 as director of corporate communications, Jimenez was a director of global communications and international marketing at AFC Enterprises, the franchisor and operator of more than 4,000 restaurants, bakeries and cafés around the world. In 1999, he joined the Walt Disney World Resort as manager of public affairs serving as an official spokesperson for the 49-square mile resort. He was responsible for public affairs, issues management, crisis communications and diversity public relations.

In 1997, Jimenez launched Jiménez Pinzón International, a multicultural marketing communications consultancy, specializing in Hispanic, market-entry strategies. In 1992, he served as administrative director of marketing and public relations for Florida Hospital, the nation’s largest Medicare provider and leading cardiac center. Jimenez started his communications career as director of public relations at Opera Orlando in 1989.

Jimenez serves on the board of the Latin American Association as the organization’s Chair. He also serves as a member of the Board of Advisors for the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, The Alliance Theatre and Mount Paran Christian School. He is a member of the Arthur W. Page Society and The Seminar. Previously, he served on the boards of Leadership Atlanta, The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, the United Way of Greater Atlanta, the National Hispanic Corporate Council and the Elon University School of Communications.

Jimenez earned a master’s of business administration degree with an emphasis in marketing and international business from Rollins College and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southern Adventist University, where he was recognized as alumnus of the year in 2015.  That same year, he was recognized by with the Individual Achievement Award by La Amistad, and in 2017 with the Leadership Excellence Award at the National Diversity Council Georgia Leadership Conference. Jimenez is an IABC/Atlanta Catalyst Award winner and past co-chair of the Diversity Committee for the Public Relations Society of America’s Georgia Chapter. Hispanic Business magazine named Jimenez as one of the 100 Most Influential Hispanics in America in 2007.
