Aedhmar Hynes is the Chief Executive Officer of Text100 Global Communications, one of the world’s largest, independent, digital public relations firms that serve companies that use technology for competitive advantage. Under Aedhmar’s tenure, Text100 has grown its position as a leader in global communications and is a thought partner for more than 250 clients across the world. She oversees a staff of over 500, including 24 offices spanning North America, Asia Pacific, and Europe. Aedhmar is based in New York City and works with many of the company’s key accounts such as BlackBerry, American Express, IBM, Cisco, Xerox, MTV and British Airways. Under Aedhmar’s leadership, Text100 has been at the forefront of public relations theory and practice most recently driving Text100’s digital communications evolution. Since its exploration of the Second Life virtual world back in 2006, the company has led by example through global research, such as its blogger surveys, or through award-winning integrated PR communications programs for clients such as Cisco,Skype and Xerox. Aedhmar has worked in the public relations industry for more than 27 years, 23 of which have been with Text100. Throughout her career she has worked exclusively with technology companies consulting on behalf of both large corporations as well as emerging leaders. Aedhmar works closely with client executives, coaching them on their company’s reputation as a key driver of stakeholder value, customer loyalty and brand management. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Arthur W. Page Society, a Board Director of Technoserve, a board member of the Business Leadership Council, and sits on the Foundation Board of her Alma Mater, The National University of Ireland – Galway. Aedhmar is also an active speaker and commentator on subjects such as: the future of communications and social media technologies, global communications and the complexity of cultural fluency across multiple markets and audiences. In 2011, Aedhmar received the Global Technology Award for Communications and in 2014, was named one of the top 50 most influential people in PR, by PRWeek magazine. She is a 2008 Henry Crown Fellow of The Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
