Dr. Brown is an assistant professor of public relations, joining the faculty in August 2012 after completing his Ph.D. at Alabama.
His research interests include image and reputation management in sports, and emergency and public safety crisis response.
Under the mentorship of Dr. Bruce Berger and Dr. Eyun-Jung Ki during his doctoral career, Brown has published articles in Journal of Public Relations Research, Public Relations Review, Journal of Sports Media and Journal of Business Communication.
He teaches senior-level public relations courses, including Public Relations Campaigns and Public Relations Management, as well as a special topics course entitled “Issues and Trends in Sports Communication.”
Prior to his graduate studies, Brown worked for eight years in restaurant management and marketing.
